Culture Shock!

I never thought I would experience culture shock from travelling between different places in the United States- especially because I’m quickly adaptable- but wow. I am definitely experiencing that today, home in my beloved state of Virginia.

I went down for business and had so much fun – a little business and a lot of play!

LA/Beverly Hills/Hollywood/Santa Monica- I went to all these places in the past 96 hours and I can honestly tell you, I’ve never seen anything like it. From Hugo Boss suits, sports cars and chandeliers, to work jeans, trucks and brick homes, they are two different worlds.

But no matter where you go or how different it is, people are people – with the same core needs, dilemmas and desires…. Oh yeah, my inner counselor came with me on this trip – would never want to leave that part of me at home ❤

I took the red eye home today so I am definitely looking forward to a good night’s sleep. And though I came home to some humidity, that was surprising after a few days without it,  I am loving that I no longer have smog headaches- thank God I had my oils with me! In LA, there is a smog rating- and if the smog is really high, it is recommended that people with allergies and asthma stay indoors.

I have been stopping at the most fabulous restaurants- French bakery’s, Shutters, The Montage (where the pre-Emmy’s party was held I believe and where “they” all stay) and now I’m not sure what to make to eat! I got way too spoiled! Someone bring me an organic white mocha- LA style- and I will mull over what to eat…. 🙂
